Our job is to encourage and facilitate change to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all Queenslanders, with a focus on:

improving the mental health and wellbeing of all Queenslanders
preventing and reducing the impact of mental illness
preventing and reducing the impact of problematic alcohol and other drug use
preventing and reducing the impact of suicide.
We actively seek the views and experiences of people with a lived experience to help shape the reform agenda. The collective effort of all stakeholders is essential to bring about reform and better outcomes for all Queenslanders. We work across a broad range of portfolio areas including health, communities, education, child safety, employment, police, corrections, the economy and justice.

Lives Lived Well works with people impacted by alcohol, drugs, gambling and mental health concerns. We offer free withdrawal, counselling and group programs. Our rehabilitation recovery centres, such as Mirikai, provide more comprehensive recovery support. We run the Lives Lived Well Specialist Centre, which is open to the public, and we are the lead agency for headspace Southport and headspace Upper Coomera.

Myriad Pharmaceuticals is an independent Australian pharmaceutical organisation dedicated to advancing harm reduction through regulated therapeutic nicotine vaping products. At the forefront of addiction management, we partner with healthcare professionals and pharmacies nationwide to support evidence-based smoking cessation strategies. Our mission aligns with the evolving landscape of addiction treatment, focusing on innovation, clinical compliance, and public health outcomes. T and K Support Services leads with an Identity Before Diagnosis approach, supporting people to reconnect with who they are beyond labels, symptoms, or systems. Our community hubs and residential programs create safe, inclusive spaces where psychosocial disability, mental health, neurodivergence, and AOD challenges are met with lived-experience leadership, connection, and genuine wrap-around care. We walk beside participants, not ahead of them, prioritising dignity, choice, recovery, and belonging. We are proud to champion a model that sees the person first, builds villages around them, and supports real, meaningful change.

Aurora Healthcare provides integrated, specialist addiction services for substance-related and behavioural addictions, with expertise in dual diagnosis and comorbid mental health conditions. Delivered across a national network of private hospitals and programs, services include outpatient behaviour change support, structured day programs and specialised inpatient treatment, including medically supervised detoxification in a safe, controlled environment. Abstinence-based inpatient programs address underlying drivers of addiction, while flexible day programs support early intervention and ongoing recovery. Treatment is evidence-based and multidisciplinary, incorporating CBT, DBT, ACT, relapse prevention and motivational enhancement to support sustainable recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Goldbridge Rehabilitation Services delivers evidence-based, trauma-informed AOD recovery, fostering inclusivity, and empowerment to transform lives.
Goldbridge provides a range of treatment services:
• Assessment: Treatment matching to ensure clients’ needs are met.
• Therapeutic Community (TC) program: 6-month Residential Rehabilitation Program
• Transition-to-Community program assisting clients to reintegrate into the community.

SMART Recovery Australia is the first and only national provider of professional and peer-led, evidence-based, and self-empowering addiction recovery support in Australia that is not based on a belief in a higher power or requiring individuals to admit powerlessness over their addiction.
Working with compassion not judgement, our lived experience facilitators use tools and techniques to help participants to set their own goals which may or may not include abstinence.
Our free services and peer support recovery groups are inclusive and accessible to everyone regardless of location throughout Australia.
