The following information is provided to make your attendance at the 2026 STOP Domestic Violence Conference as pleasant as possible. If you require support, please visit the conference team at the registration desk.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

When will the 2026 STOP Domestic Violence Conference be held?

SDVC 2026 will commence on Monday 23 November 2026 and concludes on Wednesday 25 November 2026. 

Where is the conference located? 

SDVC 2026 will be hosted at Hotel Realm, 18 National Cct, Barton, ACT.

Which is the best airport if travelling via Air? 

Canberra Airport is located 7 kilometres from the conference venue Hotel Realm, Canberra.

Is parking available at the conference venue? 

Hotel Realm in Barton, Canberra offers 24/7 underground parking beneath the precinct with entry via Burbury Close 

ACCOMMODATION

As a delegate, do I receive a discounted rate for accommodation when attending SDVC26?

All delegates attending SDVC26 receive an exclusive discounted rate at the conference hotel.

What time is check in available at the hotel? 

The 2026 STOP Domestic Violence Conference will be hosted at Hotel Realm, Canberra.

Hotel check in is 2:00pm, with check out at 11:00am 

Accommodation accounts must be settled with the hotel on checkout. The Committee and/or Conference Secretariat are not responsible in any way for outstanding accommodation accounts. 

Can I store my luggage at the venue after hotel check out? 

Yes, if you have stayed at Hotel Realm, the hotel concierge will store your luggage until after the conference has finished at 3:00pm. 

REGISTRATIONS

Where do I collect my name badge? 

Please collect your name badge from the registration desk and wear it each day as it is your official pass to all sessions, exhibition, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and the social functions. 

When can I visit the conference registration desk? 

The registration desk will be located in the Royal Benowa Foyer of the RACV Royal Pines Resort. The hours of operation are as follows:

Monday 23 November                                 11:00am 5:00pm 

Tuesday 24 November                                  7:30am – 5:00pm 

Wednesday 25 November                           7:30am – 5:00pm 

What does my registration include? 

Your in-person delegate registration to the SDVC26 includes the following:

I can no longer attend! Can I transfer my registration to my colleague? 

If you are unable to attend SDVC26, we can offer 1 name change up to 1 week prior to the conference. Please email through your changes to sdvc@anzmh.asn.au

Wi-Fi
Complimentary Wi-Fi internet is available for all delegates.

Mobile Phones
Please ensure all mobile phones are switched to silent while in sessions.


Dress Code
We ask delegates to wear casual business attire (i.e full suit not required but can be worn if presenting) or smart casual. Wearing uniforms is optional.

CONFERENCE PROGRAM

What time does the conference commence? 

The conference program will run on Canberra AEDT time and will commence at 12:30pm, Monday 23 November 2026.

How do I know when or where someone is speaking?

Will recordings of sessions be available after the event? 

Yes, all keynote and concurrent sessions will be recorded and made available for delegates to view via the resource centre for 30 days post conference. The resource centre will be emailed to delegates approximately 5 business days post conference.

Are there any networking opportunities available? 

There will be multiple opportunities for delegates to connect and network with each other throughout the conference.

Catering Arrangements
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be served in the Royal Benowa Foyer with the exhibitors and poster presentations. 

Any special dietary requirements indicated on your registration form have been forwarded to the venue. Please talk to venue staff during the break if you have special dietary requirements.

EXHIBITION

Can I apply for an exhibitor showcase at SDVC26? 

Our showcase positions filled up quickly for 2026 and our trade floor has now sold out. We will be opening applications for 2027 in the coming months.
