There are many members of todays society that unfortunately unite us all here today. They are all impacted by Domestic violence in one form or another. Those at the epicentre are impacted the hardest; the Alleged Victim and Alleged Abuser, The First responders to the scene or scenes and of course the Case workers. Many people may think that the first responders and case workers are not effected as ‘they see this all the time’ and ‘they chose this for their line of work’, well yes and no, but I will address those in the presentation. Many people will also be wondering why I didn’t mention any children that would most definitely be at the epicentre.

My focus is on the support and acknowledgement of those that are either not noticed by the massively weighed down system or fall through the cracks when they are in or close proximity to the epicentre. These people are the children, Family, Friends, Carers, Guardians and many more. These people are the support network that helps rebuild or repave a new road to where those at the epicentre need or want to go.
