Reflections on the first year of the Leaving Violence Program
Presentation Overview
This session explores the recently established Leaving Violence Program, and the role it plays within the broad continuum of support available for victim-survivors of domestic and family violence.
Drawing on data, insights and lessons from the first year of delivery of the Leaving Violence Program, the presentation will discuss the impact of the Program, its capacity for growth and change, and how it is operating within the broader DFSV ecosystem.
Attendees will gain practical insights and context around the delivery of the Program, its evolution and how the Program can offer financial and other supports to victim-survivors in their journey of recovery and healing.
Key elements include:
· Statistics from the first year of the program (1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026)
· How the Program has evolved, and continues to evolve, in response to real-time feedback and challenges
· Real examples of the impact and outcomes of the Program
Participants will leave with a stronger understanding of the Leaving Violence Program, its impact, and how the Program can be accessed and utilised in support of victim-survivors leaving intimate partner violence.
