Influencing a meaningful wave of change to empower others: Changing our narrative for future generations.
Highlighting the effects that Lateral Violence has or can have on Indigenous people wishing to elevate and succeed in academic spaces, their careers and the community. Realising the positive influence of being a more reflective leader and embedding principles of Lateral Empowerment into our workplaces and communities.

Biography
A Northern Territorian (Australia), Lateesha is a proud Woolwonga and Kukatj woman, raised on Larrakia and Yolngu Land. Lateesha is a passionate advocate for education – particularly for young women – and the role empowering these young women plays in healing intergenerational trauma and strengthening communities. Which is why she established Wave of Change Consultancy Pty Ltd (2021) and founded the Lateral Empowerment Program (2022), as a way for her to 'influence meaningful waves of change to empower others'.
Lateesha's vision is to influence generational change
for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through
collaboration, consultation and empowerment.
