Abstract
The Agency Advantage: Why the Women Shaping Women's Mental Health Need to Claim Their Own
The people in this room know exactly what good women's mental health care looks like. They have the research. They have the frameworks. They have the lived experience. What too many of us don't have, yet, is the Agency to act on it at scale.
The Implementation Gap in women's health is not a knowledge problem. It is an Agency problem. The gap between what we know and what actually gets implemented costs women our health, our safety, and in too many cases, our lives. And the workforce carrying that weight is burning out under the pressure of a system that was never designed for us either.
In this honest, practical, and galvanising keynote, Winitha Bonney OAM delivers her signature Agency Advantage™ framework, a five-part model for closing the gap between evidence and action.
Drawing on 20+ years of C-Suite leadership, her own lived experience navigating systems not designed for people like her, and science-backed research, Winitha speaks directly to the practitioners, leaders, and advocates working at the frontline of women's health.
Participants will leave with:
1. A reframe of the Implementation Gap: why it is an Agency problem, not a knowledge problem
2. The Agency Advantage™ framework: practical tools to close the gap between evidence and real-world practice
3. Strategies for leading through systemic uncertainty without losing themselves or their teams
4. A sustainable model that replaces the burnout cycle with high-impact, high-wellbeing practice
5. Permission to act with the conviction that they already have what it takes
This is not a session about resilience. It is a session about Agency to challenge and change a system that was never designed with us in mind. And it starts here.
