Full Therapeutic Disclosure (FTD) is an essential yet challenging process within the treatment of sex addiction and betrayal trauma. This presentation explores the therapeutic role of FTD in fostering trust, rebuilding intimacy, and facilitating long-term healing between partners affected by sexual compulsivity and infidelity. While a structured disclosure process can be healing, it is often fraught with emotional turbulence, necessitating careful preparation, professional guidance, and trauma-informed care. Through case examples and research, this presentation highlights best practices, key challenges, and the importance of tailoring disclosures to the unique needs of both partners.
