Rural Alive and Well Tasmania (RAW) is the only state-wide provider of mental health well-being and suicide prevention programs to rural Tasmania. It is highly respected in the communities it services and makes a significant contribution to the quality of life in rural communities across the state.

Through three program areas: the Outreach Program (providing support to individuals, families and communities through face to face farm and home visits and a 24/7 phone service); Suicide Prevention Training and Capacity Building; and Healthy and Resilient Communities (HaRC), RAW aims to improve mental health and well-being and prevent suicide attempts and deaths.

Our founder Dr James Freeman has worked in many rural and remote locations, during his visits he recognised the need for a telehealth solution, to enable patient access to those services not available in the bush. In 2011 PSYCH2U powered by GP2u was born to meet this need.
