Abstracts
Together, Dave and Jodhi believe they have a positive story to tell when it comes to the health and well being of Aboriginal people in their local community. By drawing Aboriginal people out of isolation, forming connections and relationships, learning and engaging in cultural practices, reconnecting to culture on Country; all through a lens of Social and Emotional Well Being. The story they wish to share is one of enthusiasm and promising practice.
Biography
Jodhi Wilkinson is a qualified counsellor who has a strong social justice heart. Advocating and providing quality outcomes for the Aboriginal people that she serves is at the heart of her foundation.
Jodhi believes that the only way to view health for Aboriginal people is through a holistic lens that incorporates a network of relationships that includes mental health, physical, cultural, spiritual health and that Land is central to wellbeing. This is why Jodhi is completely passionate and dedicated in her role as Social & Emotional Well Being Coordinator for No. 34 Aboriginal Health Service in Ulverstone, Tasmania.
Currently Jodhi is an active member of the North West Tasmania Suicide Prevention Trial Site Working Group (an Australian Government funded National Suicide Prevention Trial) which aims to connect and coordinate new and existing suicide prevention activities to build on the ability of communities and workplaces to recognise the warning signs of suicide, and better support people experiencing and recovering from a suicide crisis.

Biography
Dave mangenner Gough is a proud trawlwoolway man who descends from bungana (chief) manalargenna’s oldest daughter, woretemoeteyenner of north east Tasmania.
Dave has spent many years passionately sharing his cultural knowledge with educators and students across the state. Dave has been heavily involved in protection of Aboriginal heritage sites across the state.
Dave is the cultural advisor for the University of Tasmania, Co chair of the Queen Victoria Museum & Art Gallery’s Aboriginal Advisory Council, Launceston, board member of the Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery’s Aboriginal Advisory Council, Hobart, Coordinator of Tiagarra, Tasmanian Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Devonport, Chair of Six Rivers Aboriginal Corporation, Devonport and facilitator of the men’s group at No. 34 Aboriginal Health Service, Ulverstone in Tasmania.
