Jala Yoga®, based on the Gold Coast, offers trauma-informed and neuro-affirming Yoga education both online and in-person. Founded by Mollie Cox — an experienced Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher/Therapist and Registered Counsellor — Jala Yoga® specialises in supporting individuals to reconnect with their bodies, cultivate nervous system awareness, and build self-agency through evidence-informed Yogic practices.
Mollie brings extensive experience working alongside neurodivergent individuals, people with complex mental health needs, and those living with chronic health conditions. Through personalised 1:1 sessions and collaborative care with Allied Mental Health clinicians, she integrates trauma-informed Yoga, meditation, and counselling into holistic support plans. Referrals are welcomed from a wide range of healthcare professionals. Mollie also works in private practice as a Counsellor, working with neurodivergent individuals moving through grief & loss.
Jala Yoga® also provides Yoga and Mindfulness-based education for healthcare workers, with specialised experience in supporting First Responders, Emergency Department staff, Hospital Executives, and healthcare leadership teams.
Each year, Jala Yoga® runs a 350-hour Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Training designed to equip small groups of trainees with the skills to deliver Yoga in healthcare settings and within communities who have traditionally been underserved or overlooked. Supported by a faculty of 11 Allied Health clinicians and Yoga Teachers/ Therapists, the training offers a deeply inclusive approach, ensuring graduates are prepared to adapt Yoga for a broad range of physical, neurological, and mental health presentations.
Mollie’s work across both Jala Yoga® and her counselling practice reflects a commitment to neuro-affirming, culturally responsive, and trauma-sensitive care — creating spaces where people feel seen, respected, and supported to thrive.
