‘Can You Hear Me?’ Online MBC Capacity During Lockdown
Abstract
This presentation reflects on RANSW’s shift to online service delivery during the NSW 2nd lockdown. The regular MBC group programs were paused, and clients were assessed for risk regarding being part of a holding group. Involvement in this holding group is supplementary and does not replace the need to complete any remaining MBC sessions when safe to do so. Partner contact feedback was used as part of the risk assessment and 1-1 virtual support continued to be provided.
Practice issues considered:
• Issues of equity being online
• Program options during lockdown
• Assessing risk and suitability for online MBC clients
• Maximising interpersonal/intrapersonal learning when online
• The self-reflection effect
