The Future of Corporate Giving Partnerships – How to Create Impact (VIRTUAL)
Abstract
Purpose: To provide an insider’s view into how to develop an effective relationship between
corporate and not-for-profit organisations working to improve the lives of people impacted
by domestic, family and sexual violence.
Background
There is an increasing appetite within the corporate sector to go beyond the obligations of
providing a safe, supported, and productive workplace and meaningfully engage in broader
societal change. Working with the Full Stop Foundation and Rape and Domestic Services
Australia, NMRA Insurance has been providing leadership in this space, investing $2 million
over two years to drive real outcomes in improving the lives of people impacted by
domestic, family and sexual violence through the following initiatives:
1. DV Impact Line - a free, confidential, 24/7 trauma specialist telephone and online
counselling service available to people impacted by violence and abuse, as well as
their friends, family members, and colleagues who are supporting them.
2. DV Impact Cash Transfer Pilot, distributing $750,000 in flexible funds to assist people
impacted by domestic, family and sexual violence to both escape and recover from
the violence they have experienced.
This presentation will take you through the key ingredients needed to establish and nurture
strong, impactful partnerships between corporates and not-for-profits, from the initial
scoping phase all the way through to successful project delivery and impact evaluation.
Learn how you too can identify and engage with potential corporate partners, and how to
harness the joint expertise and social capital of all involved to generate substantial, lasting
value for people and communities impacted by domestic, family and sexual violence.
The future of corporate social responsibility is on our doorstep, promising enormous
potential to turbo charge our work to end domestic, family and sexual violence in our
communities. Everyone has a role to play, and if we work together, we’ll maximise our
impact
