Depression is an extremely common co-occurrance with autism, to the point it was often seen as intrinsic. I will explore how our social and sensory differences might explain this.
Biography
Pete Wharmby is an autistic/ADHD bestselling author and speaker on the topic of neurodiversity. His two books have been translated into many languages, and his third book, on education and autism, is due in 2026. Pete is an ex-teacher from the UK, and is also parent to an autistic child. Pete has spoken internationally on many Autism-related topics, from Spain to Canada, and has worked with many major organisations, such as Warner Bros, Capita and Salesforce.
