Abstract
The University of Sydney is putting Indigenous Voices and Culture at the forefront of business as usual. The University is collaborating with Indigenous Voices and knowledge holders to Indigenise its curriculum, support local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and uplift Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Staff and Students.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture and Knowledge is cemented into the foundations of the University with the support of the Deputy Vice Chancellor – Indigenous Services Strategy and Human Resources – Indigenous Employment and Engagement. The University continues to embed this Culture and Knowledge though the work of the One Sydney, Many People Strategy and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment Plan 2022-2024.”

Biography
Professor Jennifer Barrett is a proud Dunghutti woman and is Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous (Academic) within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Strategy and Services portfolio, University of Sydney.
Over the past decade Professor Barrett has worked across several areas at the University of Sydney and became Professor of Museum and Heritage Studies in January 2020.
Most recently she was Director of the National Centre for Cultural Competence (NCCC), previously as the Director of the University’s Culture Strategy, and prior to that as Pro Dean, Academic in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS).
Core to her professional history has continued involvement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, colleagues and leaders, in teaching, research, external engagement and leadership roles in the arts, collecting and cultural sectors.
