Biography

Emma Jarvis has lived in Perth since 2002, is the proud mum of two children and is daily thankful to raise them on Noongar Boodjar. Since 2019, Emma has been the Chief Executive Officer of Palmerston Association, a leading and respected alcohol and other drug service provider. Emma has more than 20 years’ experience in a career across both government and non-Government sectors in Australia and the UK. Emma is a Board Director of the Western Australian Association for Mental Health, Board Director of the Western Australian Network of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies, Committee Member of the Supporting Communities Forum and former Vice Chair of the WA AIDS Council. Emma is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has a Masters Degree in Applied Social Studies, Post-Graduate Social Work Diploma, Post Qualifying Award in Social Work, Bachelors with Hons in Theology, and a Certificate IV in Coaching.

Biography

Mike is passionate about empowering people to improve their lives. He has a broad background and experience working with street present and at-risk young people particularly around AOD use. He believes that by building trust and respect through open dialogue and truth telling, we can help people make informed choices that could lead hem to better outcomes. Mike has been with Wungening Aboriginal Corporation for over 8 years.

Biography

Wei is the Program Manager at Solid Steps AOD Program and works for Palmerston Association. Wei has 9 years counselling experience in community and private settings, with experience in families, AOD, grief and loss, and parenting. He has a Bachelor in Psychology and Masters in Counselling, is trained in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Emotional Focused Therapy. His current role involves leading the Soid Steps AOD Team, facilitating group work, one on one caseload, providing psycho education, and supporting the running of the therapeutic community in Casuarina Prison, Perth.
