Details
Weaving is the oldest living craft in the world, so all indigenous people practiced weaving. We look at weaving as purpose. Weaving was practiced by both men and women so different purposes. Weaving is important is it builds on cultural skills, connects you to the land and ancestors who relied on the art of weaving in their everyday lives.
When: Day 2 – Tuesday 31 October
Where: Darwin Convention Centre, outside under trees.
Class time: 7.00am – 8.00am
Cost: No cost, this is an included event in your registration
*Please note that this is a Female only workshop. All materials will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing as you will be seated on mats.
