Biography
Tegan Schefe, a proud Bidjara and Kamilaroi woman, has a strong background in primary health care and is a recognised leader in suicide prevention. She co-developed the Sunshine Coast's First Nations Suicide Prevention Strategy and has held key roles in national programs like LivingWorks I-ASIST and Thirrili's National Indigenous Postvention Service. Tegan is committed to community-driven, co-designed solutions that enhance the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through culturally responsive, evidence-based approaches. She now leads her own consultancy, delivering best-practice services to support Indigenous communities.
