Biography
TIQ is the Queensland Government’s dedicated global business agency, with representation in 16 countries.
Leata was appointed as the inaugural Queensland Trade Commissioner for the Pacific in March 2023. Leata and her team are driving two-way trade and investment between Queensland and the Pacific; supporting mutually beneficial economic outcomes across priority areas including infrastructure, food, renewable energy, aviation, marine, health and digital.
Leata began her career within the Investment Attraction Unit the Queensland Government in 2002. Leata has held a variety of leadership roles in the Queensland and Federal Governments, Government of Samoa, Sunshine Coast City Council, and Aviation Australia.
