Gerard Maley serves as the Northern Territory’s Deputy Chief Minister and was appointed to Cabinet in September 2024. A lifelong resident of the Darwin rural area, Minister Maley trained as a mechanic before pursuing a legal career, where he passionately served the local community. His combined experience in trade and law equips him with a deep understanding of the Territory’s unique challenges and opportunities. Minister Maley is dedicated to strengthening the Territory’s economy and protecting the way of life that Territorians value.
