Advancing Defence Capability Through Indigenous-led Infrastructure in Northern Australia
Presentation Overview
Indigenous Business Australia’s Chair, Darren Godwell, will outline a transformative model where Indigenous enterprises build, own, and lease defence infrastructure, aligning with the Australian Defence Force’s posture and capability needs in Northern Australia. The model fosters economic empowerment, enhances regional resilience, and strengthens national security. It will focus on ways to engage with Indigenous leaders to co-design capability planning and implement scalable infrastructure solutions that advance national defence objectives while fostering a prosperous and sustainable economy in remote and regional Northern Australia.
