Oli Help, an App Created to Empower Parents of Neurodiverse Kids with ADHD
Abstract
Oli help, an app created to empower parents of neurodiverse kids with ADHD so that they can make a transformative impact on their children’s lives.
1. The problem: A deficit in awareness of ADHD, disordered access to care.
ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition marked by inattentiveness, impulsivity, and hyperactivity, often accompanied by comorbidities such as learning disabilities, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and medical issues like obesity and sleep disorders. ADHD significantly impacts the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of both children and adults, causing distress and impairments in daily life.
However, effective treatments exist but are not easily accessible. Without intervention, ADHD can lead to negative outcomes such as academic underachievement, social impairment, substance abuse, crime, and even suicide. Despite its prevalence, affecting 5-7% of children globally, access to care remains disordered.
2. The solution: Oli help, a companion app created to empower parents of kids with diverse minds.
Oli help is an innovative companion app designed to support parents in managing children with ADHD and other diverse behavioural traits.
As an add on to existing therapeutic approaches, such as traditional behavioural training and medication, Oli help equips parents with the knowledge and tools needed to create positive change in their children’s wellbeing.
The app uses science and technology to offer:
- expert information to better understand neurodiverse minds
- on-the-spot support to help parents evolve their own behavioural patterns
- opportunities to strengthen the parent-child bond in everyday life.
Unlike traditional approaches, Oli help is available 24/7, providing real-time, practical advice when families need it most.
3. The opportunity: Powered by AI and evidenced-based research, Oli help is designed to be clinically safe, free from bias, and adaptive to parent feedback to continually improve its effectiveness.
