GPSN: A Global Movement for Psychosocial Safety in the Workplace

Presentation Overview

Want to know how psychosocial safety is done around the world? Employers and health and safety professionals are sharing their successes, challenges and learnings to help others across the globe learn from their experience.
The Global Psychosocial Safety Network (GPSN) is redefining workplace wellbeing through collective experience, leadership and evidence informed action to address psychosocial risk management, equal to physical safety.

Established as a business led, not-for-profit initiative, GPSN unites global leaders, practitioners, and innovators in a shared mission: to co-create and implement evidence-based strategies that tackle the systemic nature of psychosocial hazards in modern work environments.

Data from psychosocial risk assessments conducted around the world will be shared, enabling the identification of common sources of psychosocial hazards, and any relevant response resources across different sectors and cultural contexts.

These findings have been systematically tracked over time, providing valuable insights into the most effective interventions for reducing risk. This evidence informed approach not only supports continuous improvement but also helps organisations adopt proven strategies for enhancing psychosocial safety in the workplace.
The GPSN’s strategic direction is firmly aligned with international standards such as ISO 45003 and ILO guidelines, providing members with best practice supports including benchmarking tools, regulatory intelligence, certification pathways, collaborative events, webinars, technical clinics, summits, and thought leadership that is shaping the future of workplace mental health.
Whether you are a policymaker, practitioner, or advocate, this presentation will demonstrate how GPSN is not only addressing the rise in awareness of psychosocial safety but also leading a global movement to transform the way we work, live, and lead. By recognising and proactively managing these diverse psychosocial hazards, organisations can foster workplaces that are safer, healthier, and more productive delivering lasting benefits to individuals, teams, and communities across the world.
