Port of Karumba: diversification of regional supply chains in North West Queensland

Presentation Overview

The recently completed Port of Karumba Preliminary Business Case is a preliminary investigation into the strategic economic benefits of diversifying regional supply chains in North West Queensland.

This presentation will share insights, opportunities, challenges and benefits of developing a second export pathway in the North West Minerals Province.

The strategic investigation is now progressed to a Detailed Business Case stage.

Biography

Neil’s appointment as CEO Gulf Savannah Development in 2023 followed a Queensland public sector career spanning over 37 years across seven agencies in regional and South-East Queensland, in front line operational, corporate and strategic roles, including over 19 years in senior and executive leadership positions in tourism, major events, agriculture and fisheries.
